First preschool field trip of the year! Of course, I signed up to drive and participate with Mylie's class. Justin's first response was, "Did you say you'd never take Luke on one of Mylie's preschool field trips again?" True statement. I did say that... last spring after the trip to the dinosaur museum, but I seem to forget what a handful he can be. :)
We headed to Sweet's Candy Factory, where we learned all about how to make different types of candy. It smelled heavenly!! We couldn't bring cameras, purses, jewelry and etc. inside the factory, so I don't have any of those pics. We also had to wear hairnets. You can imagine how well that went over with Luke. We watched a quick video about the candy factory and I wrestled with Luke trying to keep his on! He was not having it. I finally said, "If you don't wear this hat, you can't see the candy and you can't eat it." That was enough for him.
We loved seeing the candy making process for taffy, chocolate covered nuts and jelly beans. We also enjoyed samples along the way. After the 40 min tour, we headed to their little shop and picked up a few things. The coconut taffy was to DIE for. A few pics after our adventure...
These two cute kids had a great time...
Mylie's class in blue, the 9am class in white... and Luke. :)
Mylie friend Emma has a little brother the same age.. Luke and Isaac were too cute together. They actually carpooled with us.
Bestest buds of all. Sure glad we brought Luker.
