Let's go #8!

Saturday was the big game! To be completely honest, I was sick to my stomach. I was dreading it.. based on how "well" the first practice went.

This cute girl seemed ready and excited.. despite the fact the game started at 8am. I was amazed that we actually convinced her to wear her jersey, shin guards and cleats. Huge success right there! This cute girl is very particular about her wardrobe.

I promised to go on the field with her to warm up and it worked! We got her out there, kicking the ball and having a great time.
And doesn't she just look so cute?? Besides swimming in her uniform. :)

Mylie started to get more and more comfortable and I was beyond excited!

She ventured off alone with her team and didn't need me alongside her anymore.

After a quick huddle.. the game was underway. Mylie actually started.

Instantly, she realized the actual game was a ton different than the warm up where they all had their own balls. :) She got a little nervous and hung back like this. After a few mins, she was done.
Mylie spent the rest of the game on the sidelines. We didn't give up and tried to persuade her back in the game the whole time. She didn't give in.

All in all, it wasn't great, but it was a huge success in my book. She actually played with her team, which she didn't her first practice... she spent the whole practice half way down the field running away or in the car on timeout. Another success.. the uniform. Before, she refused to wear it, but she sported the whole get up for the game!

I'm so proud of Mylie. No doubt, this "stretched" her.. but that's good. :) I'm excited to see how she does the next game, now that she knows what to expect.

Go, Mylie, go!

You are one patient momma! Good for Mylie. Sounds like some serious progress for her. She really is kind of swimming in her uniform.. :) but she is the most adorable soccer player ever!!
