Little Luker

My sweet, spunky, crazy and rambunctious little man is two!! We adore our Luke. I can't believe two years ago, we bought a new house.. were painting, sleeping on the floor, moving in... and preparing for the arrival of our first son. A month later he arrived and our world has never been the same. Our house is busy, crazy and loud, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

A few reasons why I love my sweet boy..

I love..
*how much he adores his big sister.. he always wants to know where she is and what she's doing. Preschool is killer.
*his fake smile that says "cheese" all over it.
*that he says, "I yay you, Mum" (I love you) all the time, out of the blue. Love it!
*whenever you ask him "why", he always answers "because".
*he's boy through and through.. he loves to wrestle, tackle, pinch and punch. Maybe we don't love the punching.
*his love of basketball.
*how polite he is.. he's always saying thank you.
*his obsession with water. He's always down to get wet and have fun.
*his dark brown eyes. Never thought I'd have a brown eyed kid and I love it!
*the noise he makes when he's driving cars and motorcycles around the house.
*his sweet prayers.
*that he's crazy tough.. he'll come inside with bloody knees and not even think a thing of it.
*his obsession with balloons and balls.
*the love he has for family.. "his people". He gets it. He loves his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
*his smile.. it melts me... and he knows he can pretty much get whatever he wants.
*his energy most days. Some days I can't keep up. He's constantly bouncing off the walls and getting into something. He definitely makes life more exciting.
*his wave. It's pretty funny.
*adventurous nature. I don't love that he found out how to turn on the hose outside and we will find him time after time getting drinks, drenching himself and everything else around him.
*that he still needs me. Our cuddling time is getting less and less, but sometimes he still requests it. I cherish those moments.
*how much he's learning and growing every day. He's still pint size, but his vocabulary is increasing. It's quite hilarious.
*how much he loves his Dad and gets so excited to see him come home from work every day!
*when he's soaking in everything around him. He's extremely observant.
*that I know I'll have him forever.

Happy Birthday, little buddy! We love you!

Carrying on the tradition of our love lists... check out his list from last year.

Luke is certainly a special little guy. Especially all that spunk and energy. He is lucky to have such amazing parents. I think Luke arrived on this earth polite. That guy.. I think one of his first words were please and thank you. When I heard that I was just a little *jealous*.. Special little guy for sure.
