I can't believe my sweet girl is 5 today. It seems like just yesterday.. on a chilly Sunday morning, we headed to the hospital. After laboring almost a full day, Mylie quickly graced us with her presence (6 to delivery in 30 mins). She was our little tornado.. crying non stop and changing life as we knew it... entirely. But, as I reflect on that pivotal moment in our family, I wouldn't change a thing.
Mylie has taught us so much along the way... so much about patience, love and trials. She continues to be the tender, spunky, crazy, sweet little girl, we've always known. I love watching her grow into a smart, caring friend.. a loving, thoughtful big sister and daughter and the best 'little helper boss' a mom could ask for.
So many more things I love about Mylie..
I love..
* her energetic smile she has from the instant she wakes up. Her eyes always greet you with love and tell you how much she's missed you. Morning person is an understatement.
* her made up terms of endearment.. chica puka, chica soyla, etc.
* listening to her sing. She's always singing songs from music class, preschool, or her own renditions. Her love of music permeates through her whole life.
* what a caring sister she is. She's constantly helping Luke. She looks out for him and takes care of him. She'll be the first to try and calm him down and talk sense to him during a tantrum.
* that she's a sharer. She'd gladly give of whatever she has to her family and friends. Such a unique quality, especially for kids her age.
* her artistic ability. She's constnatly coloring, drawing and creating.
* her desire to organize. It's more of unorganizing at this stage, but I see great potential for her to be an organizer.
* her imagination. She's always thinking of some new game to play and scenrio to act out.
* that she still snuggles and cuddles with me. Really love it.
* insane fashion sense. Sometimes she's spot on.. other times.. it's very evident she dressed herself. Wish you could've seen her red dress last Sunday with blue, pink, black, yellow striped tights. Wowsers. Best part, she owned it and loved it.
* that she loves preschool so much. She loves learning and tries to write and spell new words every day.
* that she's my girly girly.. dresses.. lipgloss.. the works.
* her fake laugh. I like to think it's real, because I think I'm funny sometimes.. but it's not.
* her dance moves. This girl can shake it. Needless to say, a dance party was part of her special day.
* her love of the outdoors. She'd be outside every minute if she could.
* that she's a great friend.
* that she's my 'little helper boss'. She flourishes when she's in charge of something.
* her love of cleaning. She'd help me wipe down counters all day if I asked her to.
* that she freely gives compliments, thank yous and I love yous.
* how much she loves Primary. She loves to participate, sing and loves her teachers to death.
* her prayers. They are so heartfelt and sincere.
* that she appreciates the documentation of her life. She loves watching family videos and pictures over and over again.
* her love of animals. It goes hand in hand with her tender spirit. Too bad she's allergic to them.. it doesn't stop her though!
* how aware she is. She's the most perceptive and aware little girl. She understands and comprehends so much more than you're even aware of when she's around.
Happy Birthday my Mylie Anne! Life is so much sweeter with you in it. We love you!
