There are so many reasons why I love my tender Mylie Anne. It's been so fun to reflect on her special day the many reasons why.
Check out her love lists from 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007.
I love...
* what a great big sister she is. Mylie is always taking care of Luke and helping him in every way. Reaching things for him, getting toys out, and etc. She's the best.
* her names for Luke... she affectionately refers to him as Luker and baby boy constantly.
* how much she loves her family. A perfect day in her world is when we are all home playing together.
* that she loves preschool. Mylie's really thriving at Copper Creek Preschool. We love it.
* her prayers. She says the cutest things. Last night, she said, "Thankful for prophet, Pres. Monson. Thankful for Santa. We will leave him cookies." So random. It was a result of us asking her to say different things she's grateful for. :)
* her love of anything musical. Mylie loves to dance and sing. You can find her doing both all day long. She LOVES music class and singing Happy Birthday to all of her favorite people.
* Mylie's new dance move. It's a body shake/wave from head to toe. Something you have to see! Hilarious. She also knows how to shake her booty well! :)
* how much she loves Sunbeams. This girl LOVES Primary, her sunbeam teacher, Sis. Shober and bringing her scriptures every week.
* her random phrases. In any given day, she'll say.. "Mom, you're my best friend." "You look pretty." "I love you the best." "What a fun day!" or... "I'm not playing with you!" "You're not the best!" "You need to go on timeout."
* her artistic ability... definitely from her dad. She is great at painting, coloring and drawing. It's so fun to see her creations and ask her what they are. She has quite the imagination.
* her tender heart...even though I make her cry when simply asking her to obey. It will be a great blessing someday to help her be empathetic and loving.
* how aware she is. Mylie is constantly asking me if I'm happy, or sad, or frustrated and she just hates it if it's because of her.
* her love of running! When we go to the park, she wants to race all the time.. from point A to point B. Soccer is definitely in her future.
* how much she loves her Dad. She always wants to chat with him on the phone and send him text messages. In the mornings, when I tell her he's at work (he leaves before she wakes), she often says, "He goes to lots of works."
* how girly she is. She loves getting "fancy" and anything to do with princesses. She still does love her horses though.
* her love of makeup. She's always begging me to put "eyes" on her...aka mascara.
* her imaginative play. Mylie is really starting to play well on her own and she's always cooking something in her kitchen. Most times, she's the mom, I'm the big sister and Luker is the baby. :) She will always include Luke in everything she does.
* how patient she is with Luke. Luke loves to destroy anything she makes at any given moment... Mylie is patient for a while before she can't handle it anymore.
* her simple faith. She knows Heavenly Father loves her, she knows Jesus can help her, and she knows she can feel comfort through the Spirit.
* her new found love of babies. She's so tender and loving with any babies or little kids she comes in contact with. Unfortunately for Mylie, no little babies are coming to this family any times soon! :)
* that she will randomly just clean her room, without me even asking! There are some moments when I find clothes hidden secret places, but not all the time.
* her love for learning. She is always trying to figure out what letter certain words start with and etc.
* how unsneaky she is when she tries to eavesdrop. During most conversations Justin and I have, she'll say, "Whatchu guys talkin bout?"
* that she finally lets me sing with her!
* that she can play outside for hours and hours. Bring on Spring!
* her love of animals. She always goes up to any animal and is extremely loving and gentle. Even when most kids shy away, she's there in the middle of it. She still remembers Tink and wants her to come back. :(
* how forgiving she is. She's always quick to forgive Luke for pulling her hair or biting, quick to forgive me for yelling and quick to forgive her Dad for the long hours he works.
* the happiness and energy she brings into our house. * what a good friend she is. She is always helping her friends when they come over and usually really great at sharing all her toys.
* her love of fashion, I just don't love that she changes her outfits 4x or more a day!
The list can go on and on. Mylie Anne... we love you more than words can describe. We look forward to another year to watch you grow and learn.
