Staycation: Temple Square

I love kicking off the Christmas season visiting the lights at Temple Square.  Apparently, we decided to go on the same night as all of the youth groups in the valley.  We were shocked at how many people were there.  But.. it didn't distract from our fun one bit.

The kids were mesmerized by the lights and displays.  Luke's gazed upward the whole time I held him.  It was so sweet to watch.  It was the first year everyone was happy the whole time.  Quite miraculous really.

I feel the spirit so strongly every time we view the nativity and listen to inspiring words.  By far, my favorite part.
 Luke's preferred mode of transportation.
Family shot... a nice stranger offered to take the pic.. said that the "mom" needed to be in it too.  Poor guy.. it took him a bit to figure out our camera. He didn't know what he was signing up for! Always a little awkward when hoards of people are stopped for your family pic. Smiles would've been nice. :)  I promise they had fun!
Afterwards, we warmed up in the car and enjoyed some hot cocoa.

I love living so close to Temple Square.

Maybe next year we can do this together :) Love all your beautiful photos. You really have an eye... a natural talent. So glad you were able to get a family shot... too often you are just behind the camera :)
