I'm a little embarrassed that Mylie's spring soccer season concluded today and I didn't post about it even once. I'll attempt to recap the highlights.
I'm astonished at how far Mylie has improved this year. Fall season she didn't even play half of her games... and spring season she played all of them and loved it. Mylie practiced awesome every week, but the games seemed to intimidate her a bit. We could always count on Myles running her little heart out with a smile beaming from ear to ear.
Game 3ish Mylie actually scored a goal.. kinda! She kicked it in and then the other team bumped it the last few inches. We totally counted it as her goal! :) She basically kicked it in! Yeah!
At the last game, today, Mylie's whole team was rooting for her and assisting her in scoring a goal. And bless her heart, she was trying with all her might. She's not as aggressive as a lot of the other players and she takes a few seconds too long to react, resulting in a lot of missed opportunities.
In the last minute of the game, she had about 3 attempts and was SOOO close to scoring. Every time, it would either hit the post or the other team would steal it. Our whole sideline was rooting her on. When Mylie was in the thick of it, at the end of the game.. the other team kicked it in, but our supportive team acted like Mylie did it. Justin and I knew she didn't score, but our team convinced her and that was the end of it. I just didn't have the heart to burst her little bubble. So... she DID end up getting that new swimsuit for 'scoring' a goal. :)
So.. our Myles scored two goals this season... kind of. :)
Always all smiles...
Justin and I would hold our breath every time Mylie encountered this...
Sometimes it resulted in this... sometimes...
Cutest fans ever..
Always running her little heart out..
Luke loved cheering on the team.. especially his big sis. He was either intently watching the game, or playing soccer on the sidelines. This guy can't wait until it's his turn! Next summer...
Orange Thunder.. with Coach Toby and Coach Ryan
So proud.
Way to go #8! We sure love you!! Can't wait to see what's in store next season.

Oh my!! I love this!! She is so stinkin' cute! I can't believe how big she is getting. Love that she scored 2 goals .. kind of!! And that she has so much support from you guys and the entire sideline. Awesome! My children have proven to be less than aggressive. It is still fun for them to be apart of a team and learn teamwork.
Hooray for Mylie!!! So fun to see the same girl playing in a game that played last season at practice only :). She has come so far... we are so proud of her. And really there isn't anything cuter than a little one in their uniform. I love it!! Go Mylie!!! Can't wait to see you next season!
