Mylie is still loving preschool and playing with friends. She wants play dates every day. She's learning her letters, writing her name and singing nonstop. Everywhere we go, she's singing. I can't even tell you how many times we pass someone at the store and they say, "Nice singing." It's a little on the loud side!
She started Sunbeams a few weeks ago and is in heaven. According to her teacher, she sings every song and is always participating and answering questions. I'll be honest, she loves it so much-- I sometimes use it to my advantage and tell her she can't go if she doesn't do whatever I'm asking. What a terrible mom! Sis. Shober, her Sunbeam teacher, actually told me that Mylie notified the class that if you don't brush your teeth, you'll get plaque on them and they'll fall out. Apparently, she'd never heard a three-yr old talk about plaque... in Sunbeams none-the-less! Oh.. our random girl. She's not quite understanding that her baby teeth will fall out.
Mylie is just convinced that cousin Abby didn't brush her teeth good enough. Sorry Abby!
Mylie is thrilled about her birthday coming up and talks about her party constantly. She creates paintings for her party and tells me who is going to attend. I better find out what all of those expectations are so she's not disappointed!
Mylie has been struggling with nightmares the past month and the frequency has increased the last few weeks. She's terrified of shadows.. thank you Princess and the Frog, but she hasn't watched that movie since summer. We have been up multiple times a night with her. They're different than the night terrors she had when she was younger, because she actually comes out of it. We're tried everything we can think of. Lately, I've just been making a bed on my floor and she'll come and sleep in our room when she's scared.
She knows that she can always pray to Heavenly Father for help and that the Holy Ghost will comfort her. She mentions that multiple times throughout the day. A few times she's slept through the night and the next morning she says, "The Holy Ghost helped me." I'm not thrilled about her nightmares, but I'm grateful for opportunities which allow her testimony to grow.

Wowser.. that poor girl! Nightmares are the worst. We have nightmares at this house too!! We pray every night @ family prayer about not having nightmares. I hope they pass soon.
That Mylie is a doll. I love it that she is a singing sumbeam. I am the Jr Primary singing lady with 3 huge sunbeam classes and those little sunbeams don't sing. :( I need me a Mylie girl. Tell her way to go from Shauna. :)
Ha! I tried the whole get plaque teeth fall out thing... my kids were loving it.. "We don't want to brush our teeth. We want our teeth to fall out!" WHAT?? Yep totally back fired on me. Glad it worked for Mylie.. funny that she shared it with her class. She must really like it. Now I just tell my kids that there teeth are going to turn yellow. ha! Got them!
