Herriman Fire Station

It was so fun to be apart of the grand opening of Herriman's new fire station. I saw a brief mention of the ribbon cutting ceremony and public tours they were offering. I gave the station a call and asked if we could bring some kids over to partake in the fun. Sure enough! I gave a few friends a call and we headed over.

When we arrived we were the only ones there. They had tables of cookies and seemed really excited to see us. We toured every inch of the station...from the kitchen to the sleeping quarters and the kid's most favorite part-- the brand new fire engine. We all loved getting an up close and personal experience and learned a ton! I left my camera in the car for the bulk of the tour, but I was able to get a couple shots of the kids at the end in their new hats. Just as we were finishing up, classes from the local charter school started to arrive. Needless to say, we had perfect timing.

All the kids... even the ones that didn't want to be in the picture.

Cheesin' it up.

I just love a fun and free outing, especially when it's educational and supports our community.
