We took Luke to the InstaCare Sunday after discovering some blisters and rashes on his legs. We actually thought he had chickenpox. After an hour and a half adventure (poor Justin and Luke) we found out he has HAND,FOOT,MOUTH disease. Seriously?! This poor guy just got tubes. This is supposed to be our happy time! It's so hard to see your kids so sick... I hate feeling so helpless.
Luke has blisters spreading all over his little body. He has tons on his tonsils and down his throat, which are the most painful. He's been chugging ice water and loving popsicles. We're keeping him loaded on ibuprofen and tylenol and trying to keep him hydrated as possible.
Day 1 - thinking these bad boys were chickenpox
Day 3 - spreading but the initial big ones are starting to scab over
Day 3 - more blisters/sores appearing every day
Day 4 is proving to be a little bit better. He isn't needing to be held constantly and even starting to play on his own a bit. Luke slept better last night, only waking up once! This mama was grateful for that! His appetite still isn't back but we're trying to get as much down him as we can. New blisters are still appearing. Bummer for that.
Feel better little guy!!

My little Luker is too cute to be sick. Especially something as bad as this...crumb!!
Hope Mylie doesn't get it - or maybe her sore throat was it...that would be good.
You're all in our prayers.
Love, Gerri/Nana
He looks way to happy to be that sick :). What a cutie! Hope things are better from here on out. I hope you have seen the worst of it. Ouch! Poor little guy.
Oh wow.. that looks painful. :(.. he is such a good boy with that big smile on his face. Hopefully those will heal up real fast...
Poor little guy. He is so adorable. It makes me feel so bad when they are so little and perfect when they don't feel well. I hope he's doing better.
