Our Staycation

We had ourselves a little staycation!! It was fabulous. Justin took work off Wed-Fri and we vowed to do something super fun every day. I headed into work on Wednesday for a bit while the kids partied with their Dad. Gotta do what ya gotta do! When I got home I had a eager little Mylie waiting to go swimming! Our little fish is hilarious and we love that she loves the water. What we're learning is that she has a fishy little brother too... which fits perfectly in our little family!

Wednesday night we planted a vegetable garden. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is successful. Mylie already loves watching it grow. Can't wait until we actually have vegetables for her to pick.

Thursday we headed to the movies to see Shrek... aka the "BIG MOVIE" according to Mylie. Mylie woke up with a fever and not feeling well, but after some meds in her, she seemed to be okay. She was actually extremely well-behaved! She didn't even get out of her seat once. Definitely a sick little girl! Luke was actually the tricky one. After watching the movie intently, fists clenched and all, he got stir crazy and wanted to crawl. I spent the last half hour in the hall with him. :)

Friday, Mylie seemed to be feeling a little bit better, but she still had a fever and sore throat. With more meds in her, she was excited for an adventure... so we decided to head to the Zoo. We brought the wagon just in case she got tired of walking, but she didn't even need it. She loved every second. She was dying to see the tigers and alligators...random... but she loved everything.

Can't go wrong with the carosel ride. No horses in sight and Mylie didn't hesitate jumping on the gorilla.

Lukers loved it. Loved being in the hiking pack and seeing everything. Such a good little guy and growing up so fast.

We loved our little staycation!! We love having our Dad home and playing together. This is when I wish we were millionaires and we could just play together all day every day! :) But until then, I'll take a staycation every once and a while.
