Time with Dad

Justin's definitely heading into his "busy season". Typically, it's June/July (yes, right when we moved!), but since he's moved from Microsoft to Verizon, he's now hitting a new busy time. Yuck! Just in time for the holidays. Poor guy! Anyway, he has quite a few paid vacation days left, and we're thrilled every time he takes one. We lucked out a few days last week-- he took Thursday and Friday off because he knew this week he'd be slammed with presentations and clients in town. We did some fun family activities while he was home... out to lunch, lots of playing, I got to go shopping by MYSELF.. amazing! Our favorite activity was going to the Discovery Children's museum downtown SLC. It was a blast. Mylie was bouncing from station to station...I love seeing her interact with her Dad. She misses him so much every day. I can't tell you how many times a day she asks for him. Anyway, here are a few pics from our adventure.

Dad and Luke

Luke was so great the entire time. Only made a peep when he was hungry. He's really loving to be carried this way lately.. he loves to see all the action. Luke loves to watch Mylie. He smiles and smiles. It's too cute. I'm loving Luke's fuzzy head lately too.. his hair is growing and standing straight up! Love it!

Mylie working on some puzzles

This girl is intense. She's all about concentrating and really "gets into" everything she does.

Mom & kiddos in the "real" helicopter (aka hockuper)
Mylie is obsessed with helicopters and and the best part is.. she can't even pronounce the name right! It's actually quite cute. Anyway, this one was so fun. All sorts of buttons the kids could push and play with. The only problem is, the sounds were very true to life.. meaning it was LOUD. Mylie wasn't too fond of all the noise.

"No more pictures, Mom! And I'm not going to smile!"
After the museum, we headed to the Gateway. It was such perfect weather... almost 70 degrees. We even enjoyed some ice cream! Yes, ice cream in November.. it was awesome. I love the colors of fall and tried so hard to get Mylie to cooperate for a pic.

The smile.. finally
She finally decided to smile... only after she was promised a sucker! She knows how to work us.

Running with Dad
Mylie LOVES to run... anytime, anywhere. She's going to be a heck-of-an athlete when she gets older. Well, that's if she'll be able to follow any instructions and listen to rules. At the moment, she's not the best at it. :) It's her favorite thing to do with her Dad. Here she is.. sucker in hand!

It was such a fun couple days and weekend with Justin home. We're going to miss him this week while he's working away.
