No more!

A new RS presidency was called in our ward and they wanted to come over and visit us. So, we scheduled for today at 11am. I worked really hard to get the house picked up and cleaned this morning.. well.. I'll be honest.. only the visible areas cleaned! :) The kids were even dressed and looking presentable. I know what you're thinking... it should be easy to get it all together by 11am... but not really. Not when you have a needy baby and a crazy toddler.

So.. I thought we were ready. I ran downstairs for a second and when I came back up.. Luke decided to poo and when that happens.. he pushes so hard that he pukes all over himself. Sad, I know! Anyway, he was drenched in puke and poopy and I had 5 mins. So.. I finish getting him clean and put back together with minutes to spare. I was praying that the house didn't smell!

When I come back out.. Mylie informs me that she peed on the couch. What?! I was so confused.. because she had pants and a diaper on. (Potty training saga for another post!) Somehow there was a puddle on the couch and a wet spot that covered her whole bottom! So weird..it snuck out the diaper somehow. I hurry and soak up the pee... scrub it with cleaner.. and flip the cushion... then get Mylie new pants. Phew! It's now 11am and they should be arriving any second.

THEN... Mylie informs me that she has to poo (which is an event for her too). NO! I asked her to try the big girl potty instead... she said no... then asked her just to hold it... she said no and went to her room to do her business. AHH! So... I give her 1 minute and go in there to change her. By that time, my house totally smells! So.. I get her changed... take the diaper to the garage.. and they arrive.

Who knew all that could happen within 5 mins! I wanted to yell " No more bodily functions for the next half hour.. please!!!" Needless to say, we survived the visit.

The bright side.. it all happened before they arrived.. instead of while they were here. :)

I still don't understand how Mylie peed on the couch! What a mystery??!?!?!? You are a trooper... I can't believe you dealt with that much poo right before people were supposed to be there... you are a trooper :).

That is SO my life. With 3 little ones it never seems to end--and this week we have had a touch of the stomach flu, so imagine the joy of those diapers and bathroom trips. It will eventually get better--at least that is what I tell myself.

Oh man Becca! I'm laughing on the inside b/c craziness like that happens and in the moment- it's NOT funny. But it's a good thing you wrote it down and some day you can look back and laugh and pat yourself on the back for being a Super Mom! :)
