Thanksgiving was a lot of work but it was tons of fun. Papa came down and we had Mylie's fav Josh and Kendra over. I've pulled off a feast before.. all minus the turkey.. and this year Justin decided to take that challenge on. A deep fried one baby!! Thanks to J&K's contributions, it was a success. Everything was SO yummy and timed pretty well too. I tried a few new recipes and was really pleased. After all the cooking was done, it was really low key... just our style.

Mylie wasn't feeling well and woke up with a fever. At one point during the preparations we couldn't find her anywhere. Then we noticed she fell asleep in our room, in a pile of pillows in the corner. She was OUT! She slept forever too. She didn't really eat much unfortnately, but she still had a good time.
Here she is... all brined...jalepeno & butter injected... cajun rubbed... and fried. It was AMAZING!! Justin did a fanatastic job. When he commits to doing something.. he does it right.
The whole gang.. feasting! Luke is in the corner.. he joined us too.. but luckily slept most the time so we could eat! :)
It sure was a fun Thanksgiving. Papa.. thanks for coming down.. J&K.. thanks for coming over. We have so much to be grateful for. Love this holiday!!

Fun! That turkey looked beautiful! And poor little Mylie, so sad she got sick on Thanksgiving. What is it with kids falling asleep in random places? I have heard stories like that before but never believed them. I guess its true! We need to see each other again, I have a feeling it wont be until after Christmas!
