Wow... this was honestly the BEST Halloween we've ever had! Let's be honest, anything could've topped last year. Mylie talked weeks about being a princess on Halloween and was thrilled to wear her costume ALL day. She loved that Luke was "dressed up" too... her little skeleton. We had lunch at Red Robin and Mylie liked looking at all the people dressed up there. After a few errands in the afternoon, we realized that we didn't have near enough candy. Let me just say, we have the BEST kid neighborhood ever!! After another quick run to the store, Justin was back with more. We were actually surprised at how early the trick-or-treating started. The kids were hittin' the streets at 5:30pm! When Daddy got home, we decided we better jump on it.
Mylie in all her princess glory!
Our little skeleton (not the best pic.. but had to capture the full outfit!)
Mylie thinking she's cute stuff...
And Luke thinking he was too!
Mylie was so cute. At first, she was a little shy... she wanted Mom or Dad to hold her basket and then she'd whisper "trick-or-treat". The funniest part was when she'd yell it in between houses! By the end, she was holding her own basket and saying the "candy phrase" loud. She was a doll. We decided to end after about 45 mins... it was getting really chilly and we wanted to be home to hand out candy ourselves.
Bundled and ready to go
Hitting the pavement... ready for more!
While Mylie, Luke and Dad handed out candy... I got started on our dinner...homemade chili, cornbread and pumpkin bars. It all turned out SO yummy. Around 9pm we had the last trick-or-treaters ... which was a good thing.. we were just about out of candy.
Our first Halloween in our new neighborhood was amazing. We love it here! Sometimes I feel like it's rare that we're all happy and relatively healthy... the food turns out great... and that everything goes as planned. I'm just thrilled that this was one of those nights! I'm really not a big Halloween person but believe it or not, I'm actually looking forward to next year!

So fun! Sounds like the picture perfect holiday. I am glad it turned out so well for you guys. We had a great Halloween as well! But I can't wait until Brielle is Mylie's age and can do things like help me make sugar cookies! Mylie and Luke looked adorable in their costumes. Glad you have a good trick or treating neighborhood too, I love passing out candy! Oh and guess who I saw at Goodwood the other day? Dan! Remember Dan? He is still kinda a funny character, he totally yelled my name across the restaraunt and kind of scared me. Haha
What a cute family... adorable costumes... and what a great halloween! So glad everything turned and Mylie had so much fun! I can't believe you had trick-or-treaters at 5:30!!!! Ours started at about 6:30 and I thought that was pushing it :). I am so glad that you guys are loving your neighborhood. That makes all the difference in the world. (Good thing you got more candy!)
Your Princess and Ghost were just too cute for words!

Okay I'm SO not a Halloween person and after y'alls experience last year I don't blame you for not being one either. Yuck! But glad it turned out good for you. I love those little skeleton costumes for the babies. Justin said something about y'all going to vegas at the end of the month, hope we can see ya :)
