Halloween Festivities

We had a blast the week of Halloween.. reading scary books, singing spooky songs and other fun festivities. Mylie's at such a fun age, but we're still working on her attention span! She actually was pretty frightened about the whole holiday... I found it hilarious. Whenever we talked about scary things from spiders to witches... she'd fold her arms and start shaking and say "I'm scared!". It cracked me up every time. She's a little dramatic and it's hilarious! Even though she was scared.. she loved it all at the same time. Too funny!

The monster was Mylie's favorite...she could even be found hugging it from time to time.

Sugar Cookies

Mylie loved rolling out the dough ... she did more tasting than rolling! :)

The finished product. We're glad we only made a half batch of these... they were way too yummy! We definitely had to share with the neighbors.... my thighs are probably glad we did! :)

The Pumpkin

Let's be honest.. who actually likes carving pumpkins?! I find it highly tedious.. the idea always sounds fun.. then part way through I'm always wondering why we started it. But.. it's all about the experience and tradition, right!? Mylie liked carving a little bit.. but she wouldn't even consider touching the pumpkin guts. She kept saying "eeewwee.. yuck!" as she watched Justin and me. So funny. Glad we only did one!

Justin did most the work... here he is with Mylie... way past bedtime.. but she had to see the finished product!
