Mylie looked forward to her birthday party just as much as she looked forward to her actual birthday.
We planned for months... and she was pretty specific about what she wanted.
This girl of mine knows what she wants! I admire her decisiveness.. a trait that definitely didn't come from me!
Requirements: painting nails, watching a movie and PJs
Naturally, the SPA night emerged!
Mylie invited girls from her class and girls from our neighborhood/ward.
There aren't too many pics documenting the evening. It was 'all hands on deck'! Ethan was a challenge but Justin did capture some good video.
As the girls arrived, we put their hair back and lathered up their faces with a relaxing mask. They giggled and giggled ask I spread the mud around their faces, but they loved it! They filled their treat plates with all sorts of goodies... and soaked their little tootsies in lavender Epsom salt water and while they watched Turbo.
Justin and I went around, one by one, and painted the girls toe nails and finger nails with their desired colors. The giggles and excitement were contagious. These girls were definitely feeling pampered!
Luke was too! He opted for the soak only. :)
After all of the beautifying, which took over an hour... the girls devoured birthday donuts while Mylie opened presents. That was followed by the cupcake pinata and a dance party.
I'm convinced the ONLY way to end a party is by dancing. By that time, everyone is out of their shells and it's beyond fun and quite hilarious! These girls busted some serious moves!
The girls left with some serious loot... tons of candy from the pinata and everything required for their own spa night at home.
It was so great hosting an evening in honor of our girl.
She has such great friends.. truly good girls and I'm so grateful for that.
Mylie and her BFF Alexa
