Justin was lucky enough to have work off on President's Day and we were more than ready for some family time. We decided to take the kids on Trax. They've been so enthralled with Trax ever since Justin started taking it to work every day. After surveying our options, we decided to take it downtown, like Justin does everyday, and hit up lunch as well as the Church history museum.
It was a little risky.. the weather was frigid.. and the ride downtown isn't short.. about 45 mins. Once we were on, we were on for the long haul. The kids surprised us once again and enjoyed every second of our adventure!
Waiting to go..
Our route master. We went to Cafe Rio for lunch.. luckily there was one not too far from one of the stations. But, boy, it was a frigid walk! We caught a few different trains and I was so glad Justin was so familiar with everything.
Riding the 'train'.. coolest thing ever in this guy's world!
I knew we had to take the kids to the Church History Museum after we went for a Beehive activity. I find the history of the Church so intriguing. The children's section was so much fun. The kids were in heaven. It was really busy though. What were we thinking. Utah + holiday + free= mad house. One thing's for sure. It didn't phase the kids one bit.
Luke's favorite exhibit..
After over an hour of fun, we packed it up and headed home. Luke started to wind down and we didn't want to push our luck.

All bundled for the way home.. ready for our next transfer.
Mylie and Luke are really at such fun ages! They were so easy to travel around with. But... snacks and treats are always a necessity.
Da boys..
Da girls..
We're excited to ride Trax again.. perhaps when it's a little warmer.

Fun! We were at the church history museum on Presidents Day as well, but we drove. I'm surprised we didn't see you...although there were a ton of people there. Love that place.
I can't believe I haven't comment on any of this. I have been such a slacker. ha! I love this. Love the trax. Love the church history museum. We are getting ready to plan this very same adventure. I bet the kids were stocked to see what their dad does every day. Very cool!
