Preschool Celebration

Mylie buzzed about taking birthday treats to school for weeks.  I was very interested in what she would choose to bring, considering last year it was Tangled fruit snacks.  Easy enough. We'd chat and chat about it.  But, unfortunately, it was a new thing every single day.  One day it was powdered sugar donuts and the next day it was Frito's.  I kept waiting for her to say just one thing twice and then I'd go with that.  Unfortunately, it didn't happen.

I was feeling rather sick and didn't make it to the store the day before. Luckily, Justin was able to go after we put the kids to bed and he picked up some oatmeal creme pies.

When Mylie saw the cookies on the counter in the morning, she overwhelmingly approved.  She forgot just how much she loved them and she was eager to share them with her class.  Phew!

I love being able to visit Mylie at preschool.  There's just something about seeing her in her element.  I love it.

Luke and I came the last 20 mins to document and enjoy the fun.

She loved passing out the goods.
After everyone had their treat, they pulled out the little birthday cake and everyone sang.
Then, she had to blow out the candles, of course!
Luke felt rather big and loved hanging with his big sis.

Mylie is so easy to please and loves anything special.  Apparently, even oatmeal creme pies!  I was grateful I didn't have to slave in the kitchen for hours for some birthday creation.  I started to feel like a failure as a mom, not even being able to make it to the store.  But.. my Mylie is sure grateful and content.  What a blessing!

Sure love my girl.

Sometimes its the simple things.. Look at her beam in her element!! Love this. My kids especially love their birthday day at school. They are a lot like Mylie.. they plan it over and over again for weeks.. usually they settle on donuts. ha! Works for me.
