Dog Time
My kids adore animals. Adore. Unfortunately, Mylie's allergic to cats and dogs (we found out last trip.) But with some meds on board, she was unstoppable. Spending time with Max, Booty and Annie was our kid's favorite activity. They were outside with them every waking moment. Luke is fearless and would be right in the thick of it with them. It was so cute. Luke was beyond cruel to Annie, which I still feel guilty about. He tormented her every chance he got. He was so overtired and took it out on her. He even instigated a serious attack on Annie by Booty-- Booty was protecting Luke. It was crazy. Mylie and Luke are still begging to go back and play with the dogs. Mylie says, "Max and Booty really miss us." :)
Luke, aka Dog Whisperer, in his element...

Booty.. Mylie's fav.. just because she's a girl.
Mylie giving Max some equal time.
The Valley
The last full day together, the kids hit the Valley athletic club. Justin and I stayed home so Luke could get a nap. We had to run Justin to the airport anyway. When I returned from the airport, I heard lots of stories about..
The cousin tennis lesson taught by the best. Mylie was acting really shy and didn't want to play, but she did enjoy her muffin on the sideline with Grammie.
After they worked hard.. they hit the pool.
Summit Lake
Ahh.. we sure love our time at the lake when we're home. Some of my fondest childhood memories are at the lake. The weather was pretty chilly but it didn't stop this crew. To be honest, my kids preferred the dogs over the lake. After only 15-20 mins of being down there, Mylie would beg to go back up to the house to play with the dogs. Who knew?
Everyone loved the new paddle boat. Obviously, we hadn't showered for the day.
The Wirthlins fished nonstop and had tons of success. Luke's first time checking one out up close.
Wirthlins.. love this pic of them...
Last run of the night..
This guy stayed back..
But look at all the fun he missed out on!
Check out the water drops.. crazy!
Keepin' it safe..:)
Uncle Bonding
The kids just craved attention from their uncles! Adam and Andrew were such good sports and didn't seem to mind being on entertainment committee once again. These kids love them to death!
Adam was working on Papa's property and took a break to play for a bit.. Mylie was unsure, but Uncle John always takes care of her.
She warmed up to the idea and loved playing with the big machinery.
Literally best buds. Not even kidding.

Luke got a kick out of Adam's flying skills..
Basement Fun
Seriously, this place is a mini-disneyland. The kids were in the basement nonstop. I decided every young mom needs a racquetball court! It makes entertaining the kids SO much easier!
Wiggle cars in the court are always a hit! Mylie was so dang fast. She spent lots of time with Gram racing. Mylie really enjoyed turning them into bumper cars.. not sure Gram enjoyed that part as much as she did.

Our solution to sharing and waiting your turn.
Alone Time
We stayed a couple days longer than the whole crew. Justin had to get back to work, so he left Monday, but we stayed until Thursday. Wirthlins headed out Tuesday. We enjoyed our quiet time. Luke caught up on naps. That was a necessity because he was getting crankier by the day. We were treated to Kung Fu Panda 2, which was a blast! You would think Gram and I went to bed earlier but we didn't! Too much fun. We loved the crazy time with everyone, but we also loved our quiet time too.
Gram and Mylie could color for hours!
Last smiles before we headed to the airport.
Another wonderful trip home. Mylie is convinced that driving to Washington should be a weekly adventure. We wish! Life's so much more entertaining when you enjoy it with the ones you love. We're excited to see them once again in August for Luke's birthday. Mylie's already plotting ways for them to bring Max and Booty! :)
