Crazy Luke

There's never a dull moment with this boy. He is ALL boy. It's obvious that he's had an encounter with markers. I'm afraid this is a common occurance. He's constantly bouncing off the walls and getting into something. He'll crash and burn and not even think twice before hopping back up.

He loves flushing the toilet over and over again and throwing things in just for kicks. He is still obsessed with balls and trucks, but he has a new fondness for jumping on the trampoline. He will do just about anything for candy. Although he's a pee wee, he'll eat just about anything, just not much of it. He loves nursery, even though he still starts to panic down the hall and cries for the first 5 mins. He is talking like crazy! His vocabulary is too long to list.

Instead of riding a bike, he pushes a hot pink shopping cart around our cul-de-sac and the neighborhood. Justin is convinced it's embarassing for the kid but I think it's a good safety precaution. That thing is bright!

Even though Luke is pretty rough and tough... he's also the sweetest and most tender little boy. His latest... saying "I love you" constantly. And I'm not talking about randomly here and there. He'll say it 10 times in a row and most the time, it's followed with a kiss. Each time. Seriously. Isn't that the cutest? It sounds more like "I yay yaoo" and it makes my heart melt.

I love this boy. I love our special relationship. I love his scratchy voice. Sometimes I don't love that he's always yelling, but I do love that he wants to be heard. He's big now. He has things to say. Just ask him.

I love his happiness when I see him first thing in the morning. I love that he always says "good" when I ask him how he slept. I love our cuddle time before Mylie wakes up. I love his constant concern for his sister. They are best buds. I'm wondering how long he'll be okay with Mylie calling him "baby".

I sure love my brown-eyed boy.
