Birthday festivities

Mylie's birthday was such a fun and special day in every way. Her Daddy took a half day and she received calls all day from her favorite people. She woke up to a "birthday" house... decorated and all. Her absolute favorite part were the streamers on her door. So cool, she thought Nana did it! :) A glimpse at the decor... though there was much more.

The day started with Tinkerbell, Terrance and the play set. She loved it and entertained her all morning. Papa was pretty smart. While he was here, we went to Target and scoped out the toy section. He watched Mylie intently and what she played with. He ended up with great ideas for her birthday.

Luke loved looking around at all of the balloons.. bouquets were everywhere. Every time we walked by them, he lunged for them. Funny guy. He was even okay with Mylie having SO much attention. He usually dominates it.
We usually go to workout class in the mornings, but I left it up to Mylie whether we went or not. I pulled a muscle in my back and wasn't thrilled about going.. but she wanted to! :) So, we did. We took birthday treats to share with all the kids there... Mylie's fav.. M&Ms. She loved starting the day with friends.

After workout class we came home and were surprised with a SUPER cute video messages from Mylie's cousins. Check them out here. What a great Auntie and cousins Mylie has. She's such a lucky girl. Once we were showered and Luke was sleeping, we spent some one on one time.

We made princess crowns and talked lots and lots.

Next was the tea party.
Lukers woke up just in time to join in on the fun. Here he is... looking at his tasty feet.

Then he decides to devour them...

And he loves every second of watching the tea party in action.

When Daddy got home, we opened a few presents and headed to Red Robin for some yummy lunch. Can't forget the treat for the birthday girl! She preferred to eat only the whipping cream. Justin and I helped her with the rest! :)

Afterwards, we headed to the pool. This girl loved EVERY minute. And the little brother did too. That makes this mom one happy camper. Nothing better in this world than watching my kids having the best time.. at the same time!

How cute are Luke's little swim trunks??

Can't wait to put Mylie in swimming lessons.

How happy is this guy? You wouldn't even believe me if I told you he was starving and tired at this point, but just loved swimming!

Mylie's cake didn't even turn out close to the picture I had in my mind. I ran out of a LOT of things... powdered sugar and time. Then when I had both of those again... I ran out of patience! Oh well. Next year it will be cooler. It tasted yummy...

And this girl loved it. That's all that matters!

More presents...Mylie loves vacuuming.. I wish it actually worked!

Josh and Kendra came over.. she just LOVES them to death.
Mylie loves her ponies from J&K...

J&K also brought a BIG gift from Nana and Papa...

And here Mylie is.. in her wagon and talking to Nana on the phone... telling her how much she loves it!

And the grand finale.. blowing out the candles and eating cake.

It was the perfect day in every way. Mylie was all smiles all day long. It was so fun. I love spending time with family. Mylie is such a joy in our house. She's at such a fun age and we're soaking up every second of it. Happy Birthday my darling Mylie! We love you more than you even know!!
