Christmas Eve

It was a "Baughman" year for Christmas this year and I love that Justin's family has a big Christmas Eve party, like my side does. It was so fun to get together with all of his aunts, uncles and cousins and celebrate Christmas. One thing you can count on with the Hale bunch is lots of laughs and yummy food. We had a little Christmas program (about 15 mins-- just my style). Justin and I were totally surprised that Mylie wanted to participate. She was going to be a shepherd, but she informed Aunt Rachel, "No costume." :) By the time the program finally started, she was disinterested with the whole idea!

Santa was able to drop by our party while he was out delivering presents. Seeing Santa upstairs for the first time with Kendra. So excited.

When it's time to sit on his lap... she won't but yells from afar that she'd like "brown" (her all time fav horse that she lost) for Christmas. Look at that lip! Funny girl.

Luke didn't hesitate sitting with Santa. No choice in the matter really.

We loved that the party started early and we loved getting home just after 9pm. Apparently, that wasn't early enough for Mylie. She wasn't thrilled about any of the traditions that we had yet to do... here her and Luke are in their matching PJs. Opening and reading a new Christmas book was next.

Before we went to bed, we got a sneak peek at what Santa left for the kids. :) Papa left a stable... and Santa left all the horses, SUV, trailer, bumbo and etc.

Here are Santa's gifts. We were so happy that he didn't wrap anything. We already had enough opening to do! :)

It was a great Christmas Eve and we were happy to get to bed before midnight!
