Christmas Morning

Waiting for Ellice's gang to wake up. Every day, they were the first to rise, but for some reason, Christmas morning they were the last! How funny! Mylie and Grammie watching Uncle Adam open his gifts from Santa.

My dear Grandma used to make us what we called "Stolen Bread" but what was more like a Tea Ring, every Christmas. We'd take it home Christmas Eve and devour it Christmas morning. Unfortunately, as her memory is fading, so are her incredible baking skills. Luckily, the Baughmans had a similar tradition... except they enjoy their Tea Rings all year round! Gerri makes the BEST! Well this year, I took it upon myself to make Tea Rings for Christmas morning... in hopes to keep the tradition alive. I was SO nervous.. my first time baking them EVER... and I was so worried I'd ruin breakfast for our gang and the Leavitts. Luckily, they turned out!! They weren't as pretty as Gerri's by any means... but you gotta start somewhere. I think I can officially claim the "Baughman chica" title... now that I've attempted one of these!

Mylie was so intrigued by Connor. At first, she was a little jealous when I'd hold him, but then she started to become more interested in him. She wanted to share her horse with him! Too cute. She'll be a great big sis some day.
