What a night!

Is it terrible to say that I'm so glad our ward Christmas party is over?!? Well, it's true! We literally spent the day and night at the church yesterday-- from 3-10pm. You know what that means...cranky baby!! : ( Poor Mylie has been really sick.. the day before last she had a fever and threw-up a couple times... now it's turning into more of a cold... with a lot of flem and coughing. Anyway, needless to say, it was a challenge with everything we were in charge of.

The party actually ended up being really nice. We had about 250 attend.. which was more than anticipated.. and we had lots of things to do. Some of the night included: Pictures with Santa (we were in charge of), catered dinner & dessert bar, separate adult and children's programs, tradition sharing, 20 gingerbread house display--they are now being donated, Sub for Santa, and more. It was a huge party and everyone seemed to really have a good time. We spent the night doing pics with Santa and then passing Mylie back and forth, trying to keep her happy. Poor thing.

One thing I learned... don't decide to bring your own tree as part of the decorations--- it ends up being a hassle transporting it when there's a snow storm, and you have to redecorate it in the end! Darn! It did look really nice in the Santa pictures.

The best part of the night was Mylie sitting on Santa's lap...yes.. can you believe that was the best part? She loved him! She played with his beard, loved his bells, and just couldn't stop smiling at him! That was my favorite part. It makes me very excited to take her to the mall to get her official pic in her Christmas dress!

Anyway, we're excited it's over... now we can relax... only two more Christmas parties this week and then we're home free! :)

I can't believe how much she loved Santa... that is great!!! She is such a cutie... and really a good sport for dealing with a day that long! I am so glad it is over for you :) You really were a trooper with everything you and Justin had to do. The santa setup looked great... and the tree looked beautiful, even though it was a headache.

I hope you can start to relax and enjoy the season :).

Your creativity is oozing...and that little baby is soooo cute...she is so good for being sick already..

What's the Activities Comm. going to do without you and Justin? Sadness.

We love you and are so, so sorry that y'all are sick. Please get better soon.

Love, Baughmans

Oh my gosh!! Mylie is getting so big and so adorable. I can't believe how much she liked Santa. I remember all you guys. You'd scream to death even though we'd try and tell you who it was. Usually an Uncle!!! Your party looked like such a great sucess...and your tree is beautiful. Merry Merry Christmas.
