Easter

It was such a fun Easter at this house.. considering Mylie couldn't even walk last Easter! Our neighborhood egg hunt was a good "warm up" for Mylie, so she was prepped Sunday morning, knowing exactly what to do. It doesn't mean that she was quick by any means....there were about 15-20 eggs hidden (placed) around our front room and she was going on 40 mins without collecting all of them. This funny girl took her time. I guess there wasn't anyone else to compete with. :)

The hunt...

Mylie loved her Easter basket...what kid doesn't?

Showing off the treats she scored...

The Bunny's special egg. In my family, we all dyed eggs the night before Easter... and then the Easter bunny would hide the ones we dyed, as well as some masterpieces that he "painted". And I'm not kidding when I say they were masterpieces. The Easter bunny would spend hours on these eggs... everything from cottage scenes, to boating scenes... pretty awesome. Well, for some reason I didn't get the "creative" gene.. don't know what happened there, but I DID marry an artist and I informed him this year that he had to carry on the tradition because I couldn't! :) Here's our "Bunny's" first masterpiece... not too shabby!

After the festivities, we enjoyed some yummy fruit, bagels and of course, eggs!

After watching "He is Risen" and "Lehi's Dream" as a family, my darling husband let me get a quick power nap in before he had to go run a meeting-- I wasn't feeling too great. We then braved church with the munchkin... all dressed up in her new Easter outfit.

Warning... we're having a problem taking pictures these days. Mylie won't look at the camera and even entertain the idea unless I ask her to say cheese... and this is what we get:

She did look pretty darn cute! Anyway, we had an amazing sacrament meeting. The Spirit was incredibly strong.

After church, we enjoyed a yummy steak dinner and time outside together as a family. Mylie started to get sick that night-- a nasty tummy bug-- so we had to call it quits a little early. It was so sad.... she was trying to play on the toys outside and had to stop every couple minutes to hold her tummy, saying "tummy hurts"... oh it broke my heart!

What a wonderful day we had together as a family. I love Easter and the Spirit that comes along with recognizing the true celebration of the holiday-- He lives! I'm so grateful for the gospel and for my Savior.

Looks like a great Easter. Your breakfast looked delish! She is so cute in her dress and that is so sad she got a tummy ache. Nothing breaks your heart more than to see your child in pain. We took B to the doc today with her first ear ache :(. Hey wanna hang next Mon or Wed?

I just wrote something and then "dumped" it...so if it surfaces, I'm not TOO wacky.

Justin - what a great little Easter Bunny you are....that is so fantastic. I love the egg...I'll bet Mylie did, too.

The little gal is a CHIC - looks so cute and fashionable posing (any way she wants to). The dress is amazing!!!

The whole event is spectacular!! I am very impressed, Becca.

You know what I am most impressed with? Your testimony at the end. You are super...
