Birthday Celebrations!

I'm pretty sure our little Mylie Anne had an awesome birthday! Words can't describe how much this girl likes horses... so horses it was... everywhere and all day long.

I totally forgot how long it takes to decorate.. so it made for a long night of preparations.. but seeing her little face the next morning made it all worth it. The first words out of her mouth "cool.. cool.. cool"... that's exactly what a mom likes to hear! :)

First things first... Mylie had to spend time admiring all the horses... then it was on to opening a few gifts and a yummy waffle breakfast. After that, Daddy had to go to work, but he took half the day off.. which we were really excited about! Mylie spent the morning playing with all her new toys and relishing in the decorations.

After all the fun.. she needed a little quiet time. She watched one of her favorite horse movies.. Spirit.. just keeping with the theme of the day! I could barely get a smile from her all day! She was so enthralled with everything. That's okay... here she is relaxing in her new birthday outfit watching a movie. While she napped, I finished decorating her cake and her Daddy came home.

After nap time, we were off to Thanksgiving Point to visit Farm Country. Mylie LOVES it there. If we weren't moving, I'd totally get a membership there. Maybe I should anyway. Mylie loved all the animals, as predicted...especially the horses. The weather was gorgeous.. almost 60.. but this little girl's allergies were going crazy. She didn't even mind her runny nose and watery eyes..poor girl. Mylie had a hard time leaving.. even after two horsie rides. I think we have ourselves a cowgirl!

We headed home to make homemade pizza and finish opening presents. Mylie LOVED making the pizza... she actually couldn't stop eating the cheese during preparations. I think her love of cheese runs in the family! Please don't laugh at my cake... it's the first one I've ever made.. wish I was a little more creative.. but I'm working on it! It was Pina Colada.. and it took a lot of time... despite all this... Mylie didn't even take ONE bite!? I was a little disappointed. Good thing we bought some ice cream too... she devoured a whole scoop. After all that work... she won herself an ice cream cake next year. Ha!

Mylie's favorite gifts were the horses off the cake, a train and stuff kitty. Anyway, I think it was a fun birthday for little Mylie! Thank you to everyone who remembered her on her special day!
