South Carolina!

We just got home from a fun and exhausting trip to SC. Things didn't necessarily turn out as envisioned, but we still were able to have a good time. Unfortunately, the gorgeous weather decided to go on vacation too when we came to visit and Mylie got the flu and was sick the entire trip. It was so sad! We were looking forward to her spending some good one-on-one time with Nana and Papa and we were so disappointed that she wasn't at her best. They did have fun despite the circumstances. We were able to squeeze in some fun though... Folly Beach, Flowertown Festival, Dukes BBQ, conference, date night, good 'ol hanging out and Wild Wings. We met up with Justin's friends that live back there and they had a great time playing basketball too. You can just tell in Mylie's face in the pics that she wasn't doing well... besides the beach on the first day. I was in heaven with all of the beautiful landscape. It's amazing how many flowers are in bloom throughout the whole town... and I've always loved the Live Oak trees with the Spanish moss. I had a fun time taking pictures in the south. I love it down there... everything but the humidity! :) Besides that... we spent a lot of time just hanging out around the house trying to get the little one feeling better. All in all... it was nice to have a week away from the grind and to spend it with family. Thanks Nana and Papa for the fun! We love you and hope to see you soon!

The funniest part about the whole trip was Mylie at the beach. It wasn't too hot outside because a storm was rolling in and the water was actually pretty chilly, but that didn't scare off Miss Mylie. She crawled SO fast to get to the water... and when she got there.. she didn't stop.. she just charged into the waves. It was the cutest thing ever. She's such a random chick! Who would've guessed that she would love it!? Every time we picked her up out of the water she started to cry and wanted to be put down...she was hilarious.. and she thought the sand was pretty tasty too. Crazy girl.
