Happy Birthday Mylie!!

Mylie is ONE! We can't believe our baby girl just had a birthday. It's amazing! This last year went by so fast...she cried through half of it, but we're just so thrilled that Mylie's such a happy girl now! :)

We started the day with yummy waffles and sausage for breakfast and then opened presents before Dad had to catch a flight. Mylie's not necessarily a morning person (imagine that.. neither of her parents are either!), but she sure did love all her presents. I had a hard time deciding what to do for her bday that was fun and different, but she seemed pretty content with her toys, so I decided to take advantage of a year that I didn't have to do a production. We played and played all day long. We went on an outing (in our new birthday outfit) to Target, to buy a new Baby Einstein and strawberries for dessert... other than our first tantrum in public, it went well! :) We spent the rest of the day playing and playing. We had Mylie's favorite dinner-- Costco Alfredo-- and waited anxiously for our Dad to get home. Justin got home from WA around 9pm and we had Strawberry Shortcake! Mylie wasn't too sure about it at first..until she realized there were lots of strawberries hidden underneath the whipped cream... she ended up digging through and picking out the strawberries! :)

I think Mylie had a great birthday-- well I hope anyway. Special thanks to all our family members and friends who remembered Mylie on her special day-- with phone calls and presents galore. She is such a lucky girl to be loved by so many wonderful people! I can't wait until she can actually thank you herself! :)

Mylie's such a joy in my life-- I can't even remember our family without her in it. Her energy is contagious and she has a love for life that makes you crave to be around her. Her smile can light up a room. I look forward to another year to watch Mylie grow and learn.
