All she wants for Christmas...

Miss Mylie Anne was pretty darn excited when her bottom tooth was loose.
Kindergartners are hilarious-- lost teeth are like badges of honor.
Every day when Mylie comes home from school, I hear about who has loose teeth, who lost their teeth and what the tooth fairy brought them.
It's serious business.

I decided to poll some other moms on Facebook to find out about their "TF" traditions.  Mylie wasn't too big into wiggling it at first, so I knew I had lots of time to get a game plan.  She went over to her friends house one afternoon and her mom yanked out her friend's tooth, because it was so loose, she didn't want her to swallow it.

I think that scarred Mylie for life.  She didn't want to wiggle her teeth and she told me I was not allowed to pull it out.  No big deal for me! To be honest... I would get a little queasy watching her wiggle her teeth with her tongue.

Well, about a week and a half later, Justin told Mylie that if she would wiggle her tooth, it would fall out. Sure enough, it was crazy loose, as well as the the tooth next to it too!

While I was running errands one night, I came home to a toothless Mylie! I was so bummed that  I missed out on the action.  It must be how Justin feels all the time when he's at work.  I was glad he could be there.  Funny thing was, Justin didn't even get to witness it!

Apparently, Mylie was in the bathroom and pushed the tooth forward and backward and boom, it was out.  Crazy little thing! I never thought she'd pull it out!

The problem was... I didn't have a tooth fairy plan! I thought I'd have a ton more time to do something super creative and fun. Darn!

Luckily, I found a cute little certificate online and tied up two $1 bills with cute little string. The next morning, Mylie woke us up completely ecstatic over her loot and the visit from her tooth fairy.  Score.

I asked Mylie to tell me the next time she was going to pull out her teeth, so I could get it on video.

I got out of the shower, that same morning, to find Mylie in the bathroom with wipes full of blood.. sure enough, she pulled out the next one.  Justin was at the gym, so he missed it too.
I think Mylie got a little too excited about the tooth fairy loot.. and wanted more.

Sunday morning, Mylie woke up to another certificate, a $1 bill and some lip gloss.  She couldn't wait to tell all her friends at church about the Tooth Fairy bringing make up! :) I had a few friends give me a hard time about setting the bar so high.  I had to explain.. it was just $1 lip gloss from Walmart!

Mylie's new smile.. showing off her gap.
Mylie's certificates and one of her dollar bills.

So.. as you can guess.. all Mylie wants for Christmas are her two front teeth.
Lucky for us.. Mylie spotted her first adult tooth making it's way up.

Man, this mom business is so much fun!
