Finally.... after a long and torturous process... here's our home! We're thrilled... just completely thrilled. It was a painful road, but we made it.
That first weekend was a whirlwind. It was jam packed with cleaning (you won't even believe how gross this place was), painting, recarpeting, replacing appliances, and etc. We all slept on the floor and lived out of suitcases. We were so lucky to have my Dad fly down and help us paint... nonstop! We literally stayed up until 2:30 or 3am every night trying to get it all done... and we're still not finished! We have a couple more bathrooms to do and the entire basement. Yikes! But, Dad... thank you! We seriously couldn't have done it without you. Anything really. He was such the handy man... and I was reminded why his nickname was MacGyver growing up. He helped install appliances, rewire, fix tons and paint paint paint! What a trooper he was. Hopefully, when he comes for our little guy's blessing, it will be a different story! :)
Justin and Dad.. hard at work in the master bedroom. I had to take a break for a photo opp! These are the only pics from the entire weekend!
Even though Mylie couldn't assist much... she deserves a pat on the back too. She was amazing through the whole thing. She was neglected, to say the least, but did well! She loved running around the new house and she was in heaven with all the screws laying around. She did a great job entertaining herself, which alone was a miracle. The sleeping arrangements at the beginning were not conducive to her schedule, so she passed out most nights random places while we worked away. Poor girl!
We also received lots of helping moving in! Special thanks to Matt, Chachi, Dad Baughman, Josh and Doug! Most of them helped us move twice...long story! We sincerely appreciate it. Josh and Kendra came over and helped us knock out some painting too... as well as entertained Mylie.. which was a HUGE help! Thank you! We owe you all! We couldn't have done it without you.
We still have tons of work to do! But we're chipping away a little each day. It's not easy being 9 months prego! :) But we're so grateful... for the chance to be in this house... and for all the help we've received. Thank you! I'll post more pics from the inside when we're a little more put together!
