Spontaneity at it's best!

Justin had to go to Houston for a business trip-- his longest yet-- for 4 days. Grammie was supposed to come to Utah, but because of a little scheduling conflict, she couldn't. At the last minute Mylie and I decided to reverse the trip and head up there instead! At first the idea was a little daunting, considering we had only been home from Powell for a week, but apparently schedules are overrated! :)

We had the BEST time and I'm amazed at how much we fit into only a few days. Mylie remembered everyone and was so excited to be there. I loved that she felt so at home-- it was such a great break for me! We played at the lake-- it was so fun to slalom, although I haven't been in like 5 years! It kicked my butt-- I really struggle! Mylie loved driving the boat, throwing rocks in the water with and wanted to do a little swimming herself.
We spent some time with Papa after work-- Mylie scarfed some Alfredo pasta like nobody's business and went crazy around the restaurant. Grammie hung out with Mylie so Papa and I could go see a movie. That's quite unusual for me! We had great fun with Papa! Thanks for the Daddy-Daughter date, Dad!
We also took a trip to the farm. We stopped at Spooners, a U-pick strawberry farm! Mylie didn't last too long... she starting eating the strawberries... taking them out of the box and putting them back in the bushes... and playing in the dirt. We took the title of the Lowest Sale of the Year.... 95 cents! It sure was a fun memory though!
All the cousins loved Mylie and were so fun with her! I love the Leavitts! They're the best! We had fun swimming at Great's pool and laughing.... a lot!! Poor Great Grandma has faded a little since we saw her last in May. It's really sad, but we were lucky to see her....even though she secretly plotted to destroy my Apple Dumplings! aHH! The Leavitts also watched Mylie so that my Mom, Katelyn and I could go on a beautiful trail ride. What fun.. although I couldn't walk afterward! OUCH!
Our last day concluded with playing in the racquetball court at Grammie's.. finally... and visiting her horses. Wow.. wish we visited those things sooner! Mylie thought she was in Disneyland!

What a great time we had!! Thanks Mom for making our trip so fun! We love and miss our family so much!

**Thanks, Shauna, for the mosaic link! They're way too fun!
