Easter!

What a fun and wonderful day Easter was at our house! It was hard to know what Mylie would "get" and what she wouldn't, but I was pleasantly surprised when she loved most of it. We woke up and found that the Easter bunny had left Mylie eggs spread out in the middle of the floor and a fun basket in her favorite chair. It was so fun to watch her discover all the eggs... shake them.. realize there was candy in there... open them... and stuff her face before I knew what happened! She loved her eggs and her basket. She got this really fun church book that plays different primary songs-- check it out here-- your kiddos might need one too! She loves it! We devoured eggs and fresh fruit for breakfast and then hurried to get ready for church.

Mylie looked adorable in her Easter dress! (Thanks Grammie) As a child, I always looked forward to my Easter dress and feeling so pretty going to church all fancied out! We snapped a couple pics after getting ready and then headed to church. Church, as always, was a fight-- Mylie does great in the hall when she can crawl around and screech... but the whole being quiet thing is a problem...even if she's happy. There were some great talks and lessons and we were definitely edified---well whoever wasn't with Mylie! :)

We spent the rest of the day enjoying each other's company...playing with toys...enjoying the beautiful weather...and finally, after Mylie went to bed, Justin and I watched The Testament. Wow.. I love that movie.. and what a perfect movie to watch on Easter. I felt like we had the perfect balance of the "frills and fun" of Easter as well as celebrating the wonderful gift of the Atonement.

We're pretty excited that we have just one more work week and then we're off to South Carolina. I think we mentioned that to each other at least 5 times! Justin has been working hard and long hours lately and he definitely needs some R&R time-- and of course-- we've been missing him-- so Mylie and I need some good 'ol Justin/Dad time! Can't wait for Mylie to spend time with Nana and Papa--she's such a character these days-- we know they're all going to have so much fun together!
